DVMS® is a Digital Video Management System that stores, archives, manages
and retrieves digital video and data associated with the video.
It is the most scalable and expandable digital video management system
in the market. With the help of IBM Tivoli Storage Management®, DVMS®
is able to provide unlimited storage space for small and large departments.
DVMS® is capable of working with IBM Content Manager® for large scale
multiple station deployment, which provides an on-line video search
and may transport video /data between agencies such as: district attorneys,
law enforcement agencies, and judicial systems. Because of IBM's latest
Ultrium® tape technologies, this solution provides lower cost of ownership.
The digital video/data is transferred from in-car storage to disk storage.
Video clips and data are logged into DVMS® for management functions such
as video search, data entry, video/data export and statistical reports.
If extended storage period is required, video may be transferred from
disk storage on to digital tape library for DVMS® archiving.
