ALPR Camera
  • Two paired cameras combined in a single, compact, rugged, housing:
    • Infrared camera reads the plate
    • Color-with-preview camera captures the license plate
  • A separate camera set at a 90-degree angle captures license plates of parked vehicles

  • Large buttons provide easy-to-use functionality; new users can quickly adapt to and use the system
  • Officers can be trained in a matter of minutes on all functions and features

Hotlists
  • Prescheduled, automated procedures import hotlists and whitelists from several different sources
  • COBAN ALPR allows the realtime download of hotlists to the in-car database during a shift

Wireless
  • Both the in-car database and scanning application software can be updated wirelessly in realtime
  • Scanned plates are transferred back to the server within minutes to maximize system usability

GPS + ALPR
  • All plates are stored with GPS coordinates showing where the scan or hit occurred
  • Search for license plates using Microsoft MapPoint® software and COBAN's DVMS Back Office application
  • Markers pinpoint a plate's past locations on a map and in the scanned plate list

Plate History
  • Searchable list of all license plates scanned over a 10-day period, accessible from the vehicle's ALPR system
  • Use the DVMS Back Office application to search images of all plates scanned based on plate number, location, or time
